Tiger Woods Going Viral For Heartwarming Moment With Son Charlie Woods
Tiger Woods is taking a different approach for the 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, and it involves a change of his personal staff.
His 15-year-old son, Charlie, is set to serve as a swing consultant for him and has been, serving as a coach for his father as he looks to turn things around. Something that the elder Woods spoke about on Tuesday with the media, in a statement that is now going extremely viral on social media.
“I think having Charlie out here is very special. To have the father-son relationship that we have and to extend it into this part of both of our lives, he’s playing a lot of junior golf, and I’m still playing out here,” said Woods.
The 15-time major winner also revealed what role his son will have, and what he is expecting from him.
“As far as his responsibilities, it’s the same. I trust him with my swing and my game. He’s seen it more than anybody else in the world. He’s seen me hit more golf balls than anyone,” Tiger said. “I tell him what to look for, especially with putting. He gave me a couple little side bits today, which was great, because I get so entrenched in hitting certain putts to certain pins, I tend to forget some of the things I’m working on.”
This will mark Woods’ first time playing since the PGA Championship which saw him shoot a score of 7-over. He did however express that he thinks he can be a contender.
“I do,” he said. “I feel like I have the strength to be able to do it. It’s just a matter of doing it.
