Simone Biles explains why she won’t be attending many Chicago Bears games in 2024 as she faces backlash over her Packers uniform
The legendary gymnast shocked fans by wearing a jacket with the Green Bay logo.
Biles had good reason to wear it because it featured a photo of her husband. Hopefully fans got a good look at Biles during the games, as she won’t be seen much at Soldier Field, unlike last year when she was often seen at Lambeau Field.
In a TikTok on Monday, Biles said she will likely miss many Bears games this season because of her post-Olympic work commitments. Simona Bilz, who won the other four Olympic medals (including three gold) in Paris a few weeks ago, said, “I don’t know the number of games I can do. I know it’s an American gold tour. I think we are making about 32 stops now. The tour, a traveling gymnastics exhibition featuring Simone Biles and other gymnasts such as Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles and Hesly Rivera, is scheduled to begin in September. 16 in Oceanside, California.
The Chicago Bears are set to open their season a few days earlier against the Tennessee Titans. The tour will last until November 3 and will include 32 concerts in 30 cities. The stadium will actually make a stop in Chicago on September 29, the same day the Bears host the Los Angeles Rams. Perhaps Simone Biles will be able to make a stop at the stadium. Simone Biles is already the most decorated gymnast in American history, so she has nothing left to prove in her career.
Biles hasn’t ruled out competing in the 2028 Olympics, but she’ll be about 31 years old, and it’s highly unlikely that a gymnast of that age would still be able to compete at the Olympics with great ability. But she is Simon Birts.
