Tiger Woods used his strong bond with Trump as a means to build alliances with influential authorities and secure a formidable supporter.

It’s likely that Donald Trump believed he would achieve the highest number of Sunday golfing headlines.

On the final day of the LIV Golf tournament at his Doral course in Miami, he appeared unexpectedly.

That is, until Tiger Woods stepped onto the first tee at Augusta National.

a few – the latter was focused on his upcoming speech. As Bubba Watson and Bryson DeChambeau stood by, the ex-president dramatically shook their hands while his colleague concentrated on preparing for the next address.

However, Woods was en route to the competition that epitomizes his legacy beyond any other.

He practiced on the course that defines his legend unlike any other, with no fans allowed – a situation which, in contrast to Trump’s preference for crowds, suits Woods just fine.

Last year’s third round was the last time that the 48-year-old made an appearance at The Masters. Unfortunately, he had to withdraw after playing only seven holes and ultimately underwent a surgery involving the fusion of bones in his right ankle.

The scene looked desolate, causing Sir Nick Faldo to contemplate whether he had participated in his final round at the Masters tournament and possibly retired from professional golf entirely.

Faldo practically begged his fellow golfer, who also wore a green jacket, to consider retiring. He expressed concern over the level of discomfort he was experiencing and suggested that it’s time for him to be practical by asking how long he can continue if he cannot walk four days at this point. Faldo believed that continuing would not only hurt himself but disappoint fans as well.

Despite only completing a single round of official tournament golf in the past year, Woods is now ready to compete and confront an abundance of unanswered questions.

He made a low-key return in December by participating in one of his foundation’s tournaments – the Hero World Championship held in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, he finished 18th out of 20 players. However, he officially returned to professional golf at The Genesis Invitational tournament held in LA during February. Despite only playing six games since his near-fatal car accident three years prior which almost left him without his right leg, illness forced him to withdraw from play during the second round.

There were no surprises when he failed to appear at The Players tournament last month, despite the fact that many had anticipated his participation. He offered no explanation for this absence and instead attended a meeting with Yasir Al-Rumayyan – the governor of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund and chairman of LIV Golf- setting plans for March.

As a member of the Tour’s policy board, Woods has played an integral role in the negotiations to reach a peace agreement. However, it raises questions as to why he hasn’t competed since recuperating from his influenza episode in LA. Could his injuries have recurred? What brings him here if that is so?

According to cynics, Woods has an obligation due to his recent clothing sponsorship agreement with TaylorMade. As his “Sun Day Red” line is set for release on May 1st, the exposure he gains at The Masters (which happens to be the most watched of the four major golf championships in America) will be deemed critical by their marketing department.

Woods’s determination to compete should not be questioned, especially considering his remarkable achievement in winning his first major title after an 11-year hiatus at this event five years ago. Despite facing debilitating back problems that necessitated four surgeries, he defied the odds and proved naysayers wrong by clinching a fifth green jacket when few had given him any shot of doing so.

Nonetheless, he proved the world mistaken on that particular occasion. Within his extraordinary psyche lies the conviction that he can repeat this feat. It may not happen in the present year – an idea even too surreal for him- but it could occur in future years if he fulfills his desire expressed at The Hero tournament to participate once per month on a golf course.

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy finished third at the Texas Open with a score of 11-under after shooting a remarkable 66. Although he trailed behind American Akshay Bhatia by nine strokes, his final-round performance gave him an added boost of confidence as he prepares for his tenth try to achieve the career grand slam in golfing reality.

He remarked, “Compared to a few weeks ago, I am certain that my current state is an improved one. By managing both my emotions and thoughts effectively, it simplifies the physical aspect of control. Staying disciplined and maintaining self-control are essential.”
