Angel ReesE is impressive for WNBA fans with record performance on Sky Win VS. solar
The newborn Chicago Skyister, the forward angel leasing, had a wonderful performance in the second half to match her career with 20 selections. But the Connecticut Sun narrowly defeated the Sky, 82-80.
Five days earlier, Reese had 20 rebounds (19 points) in a win over the Phoenix Mercury. With a Friday performance, Leasing created a WNBA story.
The lease went in the first half without points, but finished with 13 points. She helped the Sky overcome a 10-point halftime deficit, and the team even led by six points in the final quarter.
Reese was active on both ends, making a block early in the third quarter and grabbing rebounds during a 15-5 run. The wreath was still active on the glass, and according to his mistakes, the sun was cut into one.
Sky fans have approved their efforts. The Sky took an 80-77 lead on two free throws by Reese with 1:52 left, but the Sun made five free throws to close out the game and secure the win. A pair by Alyssa Thomas with four seconds left gave the Sun a permanent lead. It was a tough loss for the Sky, but it’s hard not to be impressed with Reese’s stellar second half and continued excellence on the glass.
The Sky will play at home against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday at 12pm ET.
