Simone Biles sparks fears she may NOT compete at 2028 Olympics in LA
After another dominant Olympics in Paris, Simone Biles fears her days on the global stage may be behind her and she will not have the chance to compete when the extravaganza comes to Los Angeles in 2028. Almost a month has passed since Biles last competed in Paris, and she is still enjoying her time away from gymnastics before making any major decision about competing at the Olympics again. Biles would be 31 should she compete at the 2028 Olympics, a uniquely old age for a world-class gymnast. The 27-year-old was already the oldest member of Team USA by a few years in Paris, the fifth most-senior in American history. Should Biles qualify for the LA games, she would be the second oldest to don a red, white, and blue leotard behind Marie Margaret Hoesly, who was 35 when competing at the 1952 Olympics.Everybody wants to know this question!’ Biles said on the Tonight Show. ‘I’m like “Can’t I live?”Biles added that she would be more into it if she was afforded a tag team partner for events. Biles won four medals at the Paris Olympics including three gold medals. She is the most decorated American gymnast of all-time. The youngest member of Team USA this year was Hezly Rivera, who is 16. Should Biles compete in Los Angeles, it is possible another member of Team USA could be half her age. Biles is one of the greatest female athletes of all-time, evidenced by her silver GOAT necklace she wore on The Tonight Show. It may be a case of the only person stopping Biles from competing in Los Angeles is Biles.
