In April, Biles admitted she was heartbroken after her husband’s interview went viral online. “He said he was a godsend,” she exclaimed on the podcast Call Her Daddy. “Because that’s him! I’ve never met a man like that.”

The Olympian said she thought Owens’ interview went well until she saw everyone online criticizing him for his safety. Biles initially thought the criticism was funny, but then admitted it hurt her.
“At first I thought it was funny, then it hurt me,” she confessed. “One night I broke down and I’m like, ‘Why are you guys talking about my husband like this? You don’t know him. “I don’t know who he is, but if you’ve ever met him, you know he’s a great guy who would do anything for anyone,” she recalled. “I just broke down in tears one night and said, ‘Why would you talk like that about my husband?’ … You don’t know who he is, but if you’ve ever met him, you know he’s a great guy who would do anything for anyone,” she recalled.
