Simone Biles has solidified her status as the G.O.A.T. and is showing off a new skill
Simone Biles has done it again, proving she is the G.O.A.T. and that she continues to push the boundaries.
On Wednesday, September 11, the 27-year-old Olympic legend took to her Instagram Stories to show off some incredible new balance beam skills that she’s been honing ahead of her Gold Over America Tour.
Dressed in a casual black hoodie and shorts, Simone Biles wowed fans by flipping upside down on the balance beam and spinning around on her axis twice. The cheers of the crowd seemed to hear the ears because she nailed the movement, and Vails could not hide her excitement.
Olympians not only showed her impressive new skills, but shouted to his fellow gymnast Skai Breakle. The nine-time Olympic medalist has already cemented her legacy by having five exercises named after her.
According to the International Gymnastics Federation’s scoring rules, a gymnastic exercise can be named after the athlete who first performs it in international competition, as long as the move meets a certain level of difficulty. Bilza’s rule in sports has led to this incredible appreciation and shows his unparalleled skills and an influence in gymnastics.
In an impressive list of Simona Bail skills, the brand’s movements on the ground stand out as the first. The move, a double layout with a half-twist in the second flip, made its debut at the 2013 World Championships when Biles was just 16 years old.
At the 2018 World Championships, Simone Biles delivered a vault move that solidified her status as a gymnastics legend. The move includes a half twist on the vault followed by a full double front flip.
Biles continued to redefine gymnastics with her namesake second-floor move: the triple double. The move, which was first introduced at the 2019 World Championships, includes two flips and three twists, showcasing Biles’ unmatched skill and innovation in the sport.
Additionally, at the 2019 World Championships, Biles completed a new feat with a beam move dubbed “The Biles”, a beam dismount that includes two twists and two flips. We will go to the 2023 world championship, and the Olympics continued to descend into history with a new stage named in his honor. This storage in the style of Yurchenko is equipped with two plans made in the pike position. At just 27 years old, Simone Biles has set 13 new records and won 11 total medals, further solidifying her status as the most decorated American gymnast. But Biles’ accomplishments don’t stop there: She also joins an elite club of only 29 athletes who have won 10 or more medals during their Summer and Winter Games careers. “In all of gymnastics, as long as I’m inspiring the next generation and having fun and just making sure it’s not just about winning,” she said during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“But to continue to take a step forward even when things aren’t going my way, I think that’s what I would want,” she added.
After winning her final medal at the 2024 Olympics, Simone Biles and her teammates returned to the Olympic Village where emotions began to run high. “Yesterday, when I got back to the village, I saw Jordan [Chiles] and I started crying,” Biles told the TODAY show. “She told me, ‘I knew it was going to happen, but I didn’t know when.’ » I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I was finally able to let it all out. »
“I was so proud and happy and bittersweet that the journey is over,” the Olympian continued. \”It’s so crazy, it all happened so fast. My third Olympics.\”
While Simone Biles hasn’t completely given up on competing in a fourth Olympics, she’s still keeping fans guessing about her future plans. As of now, she hasn’t said whether she’ll return to the Olympics, and the possibility is up in the air.
“You know, you can never say never,” she said. “The next Olympics will be held on home soil (in Los Angeles), so who knows. »
