During this time, Woods won 15 major titles and was on his way to becoming one of the greatest golfers of all time, a feat that places him just behind the iconic Jack Nicklaus.

Woods, whose illustrious golfing career began in 1995, has not announced his retirement yet.

He clinched his 14th major title in 2008 and then had to wait for 11 years before securing the next big win at the 2019 Masters tournament. He played in all four major tournaments in the 2024 sports season, but was only eligible for the Masters. After his high-profile win at Augusta in 2019 and a severe leg injury sustained in a car accident in February 2021, Woods has failed to finish in the top 10 in a major tournament.

Before their public and scandalous split in 2010, Woods was married to Elin Nordegren. Woods’ multiple alleged affairs led to dramatic incidents, including one in which Nordegren called his alleged mistress from Woods’ own phone.
