Jordan Chiles Reveals Olympic Star Who Left Simone Biles in Disbelief

One could argue that Simone Biles was the biggest name in the recently concluded 2024 Paris Olympics. However, despite being the most decorated gymnast of all time, even Biles herself does get starstruck from time to time. This was exactly the case for the 11-time Olympic medalist when she got to meet Jamaican track and field superstar Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. It was Simone’s USA Gymnastics teammate, Jordan Chiles, who spilled the beans on Biles during a recent podcast appearance. According to Chiles, she had more than a few memorable moments during her stint in the Olympics. One of them was having the opportunity to introduce Biles to Fraser-Pryce. “One person that I think was really cool was when Simone, I was like, ‘Hey, Simone, there’s Shelley-Ann Fraser,’” Chiles said during a recent episode of the “Chicks in the Office” show. “And I’ve never seen Simone get so like, ‘Woah.’ … She was really excited. So being able to introduce Shelley-Ann to Simone and they just had a great conversation. … That interaction was really fun.”

It’s not very often that Simone Biles is left in disbelief by the people she gets to meet, but when she does, it’s usually for the likes of Fraser-Pryce. Shelly-Ann is an absolute legend in the world of track and field. The 37-year-old competed in her fifth and final Summer Games in Paris, which in itself is already a major milestone. While Fraser-Pryce was not able to bring home a medal from her final stint in the Games (she withdrew from the 100m semi-final due to an injury), the Jamaican icon already has eight Olympic medals to her name.

Simply put, Fraser-Pryce is one of the greatest sprinters of all time, which explains why even Biles, who herself is also widely regarded as the GOAT of gymnastics, was left in a state of awe during their meeting.
