Simone Biles Calls Out Fans for Being ‘Disrespectful to My Husband’ amid Jonathan Owens Criticism
“If and you keep commenting or tweeting at me I’m just going to block you. Simple as that,” the Olympian told social media users in an Instagram Stories message

Simone Biles has had enough of people commenting on her marriage to NFL player Jonathan Owens.

On May 19, Biles, 27, hit out at online scrutiny of Owens, 28, on her Instagram Stories after he supported her at the 2024 Core Hydration Gymnastics Classic in Connecticut the day before.

“I’m going to quickly address this, the joke was never a joke! Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband. So I’m gonna go ahead and say this one time. Respectfully, f— off,” Biles wrote.

“[And] if you keep commenting or tweeting at me I’m just going to block you. Simple as that,” the gymnast continued.

“And no I don’t need to touch grass or whatever tf y’all suggest….” she went on, before praising those who have supported their relationship.

“@ everyone else that supports us, we love y’all so much,” Biles concluded, adding a hand heart emoji.

“Being fake mad about people y’all don’t know from a can of paint is weirdo behavior,” Owens added on his Instagram Stories.

Prior to her Instagram Stories statement, Biles shared some snaps of Owens kissing her and supporting her on Instagram as she took home another title at the 2024 Core Hydration Gymnastics Classic on May 18.

“My whole heart 🤎🤞🏾 the best supporter, I couldn’t ask for a better husband,” Biles wrote in the caption.

The negative comments surrounding the Chicago Bears safety came after he did an interview on The Pivot podcast in December calling himself “the catch” in their relationship.

“I always say that the men are the catch,” he said, adding that he “was fighting” against his natural feeling of being “afraid to commit” before he and Biles officially started dating.

Biles opened up about the criticism her husband faced during her April 16 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Admitting that the discourse around her relationship brought her to tears, Biles said, “First of all, that interview had nothing to do with me.”
“He never said I wasn’t a catch,” the Olympian clarified. “He said he was a catch because he is. I’ve never met a man like him. A lot of people that meet him are like, oh my gosh. I want a man like that, like Jonathan.”

“I thought it was hilarious what people were saying divorce him, divorce him. All of this crazy stuff,” she continued, adding, “And, like, he doesn’t even like to say divorce. So I thought it was hilarious at first, and then they hurt my feelings.”

“Then, like, one night, I broke down, and I’m like, ‘Why are you guys talking about my husband like this?'” Biles admitted, calling her husband “the sweetest guy who will do anything for anybody” in the interview.

“That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that. Because for me, it’s like talk about me all you want, but don’t come for my family,” she insisted.

Biles and Owens tied the knot on April 22, 2023 at the Harris County Courthouse in Houston, before hosting a second wedding celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with family and friends. They met on the dating app Raya in 2020.
