Simone Biles got a new finger tattoo… in memory of Jonathan Owens?
Simone Biles took time off her post-Olympic tour this week to get a new finger tattoo… and look, it looks like it’s a tribute to Jonathan Owens.
The seven-time gold medalist visited Syzygy Precision Tattooing in Phoenix, Arizona. During her hiatus from starring in Gold Over America, she got her first tattoo, a small “J,” inked on her left hand by tattoo artist Sydney Smith. The exact meaning of this is unclear, but it’s likely a homage to the first letter of her NFL player husband’s last name. In addition to the letter, Smith said she also tattooed Biles on her neck with the words “Made in Heaven.”
Smith said the two pieces took a total of 90 minutes to create, explaining that the meeting came after exchanging several direct messages on social media. “It was a great experience,” Smith said of getting Biles’ tattoo, “but I treat all my clients the same. It’s always a great time to be able to do what I love every day!”
Biles wasn’t the only Olympian on the circuit to get a tattoo… Shane Wiskas and Casimir Schmidt also joined in the fun by going under the needle at Jesse Tattoo.
