Tiger Woods waited 19 years to get revenge on Presidents Cup caddie after two-word insult
Tiger Woods proved that revenge is a dish best served cold with a cheeky jibe at the 2019 Presidents Cup.
The 15-time major waited 19 years to get his own back on Vijay Singh’s caddie after an infamous singles match at the 2000 match between Team USA and the Internationals. Woods showed impeccable patience on and off the course. Photo credit: AFP
Singh’s caddie that day was Paul Tesori, who was caddying for the third time on the PGA Tour.

Tiger won three of the four majors in 2000, while Singh won the Masters, the only major he missed that year.
Preferring to do the talking on the course, Woods played the final 13 holes of the match at 7 under par to beat Singh 2-1. Tesori could do nothing but apologize to Woods after the event, but the hat story overshadowed Tiger’s media success.

Speaking of the pair’s banter, Tesori said: “He [Woods] just loves that story. “Tiger makes me talk about it at every team event. Let’s hear it!’ And I say to him, ‘Tiger Woods was cheated on by his ex-girlfriend and let a baby squirrel steal the spotlight at the Presidents Cup.
