Sha’Carri Richardson makes history once more by becoming the oldest female gymnast to win all-around Olympic gold.
Olympic 100m bronze medalist Melissa Jefferson is set to return to her hometown of Georgetown, Washington DC, on October 12 for a grand homecoming celebration.
The event, expected to be a day of celebration and pride, will include a parade and community-wide festivities, uniting friends, family, and fans from all over the country to honor the star athlete.
Jefferson, who gained global attention by securing a bronze medal in the 100-meter dash at the recent Olympic Games, has continued to excel on the international stage.
Her greatest accomplishment was winning a gold medal as a member of the U.S. 4×100 meter relay team.
This gold, marking her first Olympic victory, followed her personal success in the individual 100-meter dash where she secured third place behind silver medalist Sha’Carri Richardson and Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia who won gold.
