Venus Williams praises Coco Gauff’s performance and asks her for one wish
The 20-year-old tennis player represents the United States as the number one player and follows in the footsteps of seven-time Grand Slam champion and her sister Serena Williams, a 23-time champion.
She has already won a Grand Slam title and will be looking to secure her third at the WTA Finals in November 2024. Coco Gauff has long spoken about the influence Venus and Serena had on her, and she is poised to create a great legacy in tennis, just as her siblings did before her.

While appearing on The Tamron Hall Show in America, the 44-year-old was asked about Gauff, who was in the crowd at one of her US Open matches as a child. The former world number one is thrilled to see Gauff thriving and wishes the 2023 US Open winner all the best for the future.
“It’s so exciting to see her explode,” Williams said. “She’s amazing and of course I hope she wins all her matches.”

Gauff first made her mark on the big stage in 2019, when she beat Venus 6-4, 6-4 at Wimbledon when she was just 15 years old.
The two played again the following year, this time in the first round of the Australian Open. Gauff took the first set in a tiebreaker and won 7-6 (5), 6-3.
Gauff and Williams have also played together before. They qualified for the women’s doubles at Roland Garros 2021.
They faced Zheng Saisai and Ellen Perez and won the first set before losing 7-6, 4-6, 3-6. Related Posts
