Simone Biles Flaunts Youngest Family Member Baby Biles as New Gymnastics Partner, Ahead of Paris Olympics
Another Biles in gymnastics? Seems so! Talent surely runs in their family as Simone Biles’ niece, Ronni Biles, is stepping into the world of gymnastics. In an Instagram story shared by the gymnast on May 8, 2024, Baby Biles was seen taking her first steps toward joining her aunt on the mats!
Simone Biles shared a picture of the tiny munchkin dressed in a black leotard – a replica of the one her aunt wore at the 2023 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships. The story read, “WCC’s newest elite team member, my niece Ronni.” The picture was taken at the World Champions Centre (WCC), the prestigious gymnastics training gym in Spring, Texas. Turns out, this wasn’t the only time they twinned. Neither was it the first time Baby Biles visited the WCC.
Notably, WCC is not just any training center; it is the home base of the seven-time Olympic champion and is owned by her parents and Baby Biles’ grandparents, Ronald and Nellie. Despite being just one year old, Ronni has already begun an incredible journey. From her first flight to support her aunt at the 2023 US Gymnastics Championships to cheering her from afar as Simone made history at the 2023 World Championships, Ronni has been there every step of the way.
Born to Ronn Biles II, Simone’s brother, and Sammi Biles, Ronni has displayed a budding interest in the sport, often mirroring her aunt by donning matching leotards and imitating her moves. Her mother, Sammi, even gifted her a “Simone Biles: A Little Golden Book Biography” for her first birthday. It’s safe to say that Ronni isn’t just Simone Biles’ youngest family member. She’s also one of her biggest supporters. Surprisingly, though, Simone isn’t the only gymnast Ronni admires.
And what goes hand in hand with gymnastics? Vibrant leotards. Remember how we said this wasn’t the first time Simone Biles and Roni donned the same leotard? Well, following the seven-time Olympic medalist’s domination at the Core Hydration Classic, where Biles wore a pink leotard by GK Elite, Ronni received a replica. As the toddler saw herself in the leotard for the first time, she was absolutely delighted. And Sammi recorded it all!
In the video she posted on TikTok, Baby Biles looked in the mirror and threw her hands in the air, loving how she looked in pink. Sammi wrote, “POV: your toddler loves the mirror while trying on her new leotard.” Admiring how confident she looked, Sammi added, “Loving this confident era. clearly pumped about her TT replica leotard from @GK Elite.” Did you know Simone Biles’ coach, Cecile Landi, even gifted Ronni a leotard, knowing just how much the one-year-old has started to love not just her aunt but also gymnastics?
Now, as Simone Biles proudly introduced the youngest member of the Biles clan just before the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ronni is ready to take on the gymnastics world alongside her aunt. Simone Biles, as usual, sets the bar high and is the living epitome of the adage – talent breeds success. Adding to the excitement was Sammi’s Instagram post about Ronni’s first visit to the WCC. But like almost every other aspect mentioned, it wasn’t the first time Ronni joined her aunt on the mats.
With Ronni’s affinity already well known to the world, Simone Biles holds her close to her heart. A particular instance dating back to 2023’s U.S. Classic at the NOW Arena, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, saw Baby Biles all hands on deck, lending her solidarity to Simone. She was seen donning a sartorially vivid onesie that read, “Sorry I can’t, I’m watching my Aunt TT.”
Simone came in clutch and lent all her love and unconditional joy to the cute little rapscallion Ronni with the caption, “We had the cutest visitor during our mock meet today. TT loves you, Ronni, girl.” There was another instance in a gymnastics landing pit that worked wonders to melt our hearts as well. This time around, though, the scales were turned as color changes became the norm. Little Ronni was seen adorning a pink onesie and savoring her time with Aunt Simone Biles. She captioned the post, “Little Miss Ronni girl had so much fun @ the gym.”
In the past, Baby Biles has been spotted attempting to lift herself on the rings by her crib, with her mom capturing the moment and writing, “Watching TT and wanting to be like her.” It’s a heartwarming journey to witness another member of the Biles family step into the world of gymnastics. With Simone Biles and her sister Adria Biles setting such remarkable examples, it’s no surprise that little Ronni is dreaming big and already reaching for the stars.
