The U.S., world, and Olympic champion is aiming to claim her first Diamond League trophy as she competes in the 100m and 200m events.
The United States will participate in their second track athletics race since the Diamond League Final in Brussels.
The current world champion, who recently earned a silver medal in the women’s 100m and gold in the women’s 4x100m relay for Team USA last month in Paris, is set to compete in the short sprint on Friday, September 13th. She will then return to race again in the 200m event on Saturday.
The 24-year-old made a comeback at the Diamond League event in Zurich, narrowly defeating the Olympic champion.
“This is likely the most enjoyable race I’ve experienced all season,” Richardson said to journalists following her win in Switzerland. “I used that time after the Games to return, regroup, and show you guys the Sha’Carri Richardson you’re familiar with.”
Richardson, who clocked the fastest women’s dash time of 10.74 seconds at the U.S. Olympic qualifiers this year, is aiming to secure her first Diamond League trophy.
