Charley Hull Suspended After Explicit Outburst Following ATC Title Victory
On Saturday, November 2, Charley Hull shot a remarkable 6-under 66 during the final round of the Aramco Team Series. This performance allowed her to surpass Nicole Broch Estrup by three strokes and claim her fourth title on the Ladies European Tour. After clinching victory, she humorously remarked about finally securing a win after numerous runner-up finishes over the last two years.
Prior to this week, Hull’s most recent victory was at the Volunteers of America Classic in October 2022. She went two seasons without a win but achieved eight runner-up finishes on both the LPGA and Ladies European Tour.
Following her victory, Hull humorously celebrated by posting a message on Instagram.
The 28-year-old golfer had been two strokes behind at the start of the final round at Riyadh Golf Club. However, she began with impressive momentum, securing five birdies in just seven holes. She ultimately concluded her performance with a total of 10 birdies and two bogeys, achieving an overall score of 18-under par.
During the interview following the round, Charley Hull discussed her first victory in two years.
“It feels amazing to secure another victory,” she mentioned, according to the Ladies European Tour. “Winning here in Saudi is particularly special as it’s my sponsor’s event with Golf Saudi. It’s wonderful to be present and achieve this win. My game felt sharp, and I played consistently well on the course. Scoring 18-under over three days is quite an achievement!”
Charley Hull’s upcoming competition is the Annika Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, taking place from November 14 to 17 at Pelican Golf Club. Following this event, she will participate in the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship later in the month.
“I have a fondness for the Tour Championship golf course,” she mentioned to Ladies European Tour. “I secured a victory there in 2016, so I’m eagerly anticipating it as well. After that, it’s home for Christmas—I can hardly wait.”
This year, Hull participated in 15 events on the LPGA tour and made it past the cut in 13 of them. She secured four top-10 finishes, with her highest achievement being a fifth-place finish at the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open. In addition, she claimed two runner-up positions in the Aramco Team Series before capturing a win in Riyadh.
