Lewis Hamilton is gearing up to join Ferrari in the 2025 season after more than 12 years with Mercedes. The Italian team has high expectations that Hamilton will help restore their championship success. Ferrari’s increasing speed during the 2024 season is promising for the British driver, and as part of his transition, Maranello has already organized living arrangements for the 39-year-old.
Lewis Hamilton isn’t very familiar with the Italian team at Ferrari. Additionally, since the team’s factory is located in Maranello, he didn’t have a place to stay there initially. Consequently, Ferrari generously offered him Enzo Ferrari’s former residence as accommodation. Hamilton will reside in this mansion during his time racing for the Prancing Horse.
Michael Schumacher was the last driver to lead Ferrari through consecutive years of success, followed by Kimi Raikkonen’s championship victory in 2007. Notably, before Lewis Hamilton, Schumacher was the only driver permitted to stay at Enzo Ferrari’s residence. Consequently, as a 39-year-old receiving significant recognition from the team, he carries with him all their hopes and expectations.
