A former F1 team boss asserts that Lando Norris has no chance of winning the 2024 title against Max Verstappen, even with ‘divine intervention’ on his side.
The Brazilian Grand Prix was filled with contentious incidents, particularly concerning the timing of red flags and the deployment of the safety car. These actions drew significant criticism toward FIA as they negatively impacted Max Verstappen. In response to this chaotic weekend, former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan suggested that even divine intervention couldn’t help Lando Norris secure a win.
The rain-soaked weekend at the Brazilian GP led to numerous red flags and safety cars across various sessions. In qualifying, Max Verstappen was unable to complete his final fast lap in Q3 because of an untimely red flag. Consequently, Eddie Jordan suspected that the timing of these incidents seemed somewhat suspicious.
Eddie Jordan suggested that the ‘gods’ favored Norris in the championship race, believing they wanted the British driver to emerge victorious. Despite this divine support, it seems improbable for 25-year-old Norris to clinch the title as Verstappen has managed to outsmart all his competitors on the grid. Consequently, at 27 years old, he is poised to secure his fourth consecutive championship this season.
