Zak Brown overlooks Max Verstappen to identify McLaren’s ‘challenger’ in the title race.
McLaren’s head, Zak Brown, doesn’t view Max Verstappen as the main obstacle to their 2024 world title ambitions.
McLaren has reemerged as a contender for the F1 world championship after more than ten years. Lando Norris’s battle against Max Verstappen appears to be nearing its conclusion. However, McLaren CEO Zak Brown noted that Verstappen wasn’t the main challenge facing the team based in Woking.
The British team is presently at the top of the Constructors’ standings and appears poised for a title win. Brown emphasized his desire to secure at least one championship for the team, while noting that Ferrari continues to show formidable strength.
Naturally, my goal is to secure at least one of the two titles. However, winning the constructors’ title will be challenging as Ferrari appears quite formidable.
Scuderia Ferrari trails McLaren by just 36 points in the championship. Following this, Zak Brown confessed that the Italian team posed a greater challenge than Max Verstappen. However, he emphasized that neither Verstappen nor Red Bull could be underestimated either.
