Mikaela Shiffrin responds to Simone Biles joining The Voice as an advisor, working alongside Snoop Dogg.Mikaela Shiffrin has responded to Simone Biles’ recent role as a playoff advisor for Team Snoop on The Voice.
Considered among the greatest in their respective sports, Shiffrin and Biles frequently show support for each other through social media or face-to-face interactions.Shiffrin secured her 99th World Cup victory of the 2024/25 alpine skiing season by triumphing in the slalom event held in Gurgl, Austria.
This marked her 62nd win in that discipline and placed her on an Alpine World Cup podium for the 154th time overall. After this achievement, she turned her attention to participating in “The Voice,” a singing reality show where Simone Biles, another US athlete and Shiffrin’s friend, is serving as Team Snoop’s playoff advisor.
Before the episode was broadcast on November 25, 2024, the alpine skier showed her support for Biles by posting a star-eyed emoji.Snoop Dogg has invited the 11-time Olympic medalist to join his team as an advisor, Reba McEntire plans to welcome Lainey Wilson, and Michael Buble will collaborate with Carly Pearce.In 2022, Shiffrin connected with Biles after the gymnast reached out to support the alpine skier who had exited the Winter Olympics without a medal due to mental health challenges.
Having personally gone through the “twisties” at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Biles provided encouragement to the 99-time World Cup winner by sharing her own experiences with mental challenges.”I witnessed what Mikaela experienced, and having just gone through a similar situation myself, I didn’t want her to feel isolated. So I told her, ‘Hey, it’s OK.

Watching from the sidelines was Mikaela Shiffrin, who enthusiastically supported her friend while witnessing her incredible athletic performance firsthand.She also met Biles for the first time and conversed with her for a while, even though she had been prepared to just say ‘hi’ and offer a simple ‘congratulations’.”I wasn’t sure what to expect, given that she was obviously very busy in Paris right after her events. I figured maybe we’d just exchange a quick greeting—a hug and congratulations,” the alpine skier mentioned.
She went on to say:We sat and chatted for quite some time, discussing a wide range of topics. Naturally, we compared our Olympic experiences, including her time in [Tokyo], as well as the challenges of competing and dealing with people’s expectations when they assume you’ll win everything.Shiffrin then shared how Simone Biles’ laughter and giggles were infectious.
