Formula 1 has revealed that the Italian Grand Prix will continue to be part of the calendar until at least 2031, thanks to a new six-year extension added to the current agreement set to expire in 2025.The recent agreement comes after major renovations to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in preparation for the 2024 Grand Prix, where a crowd of 335,000 gathered over the weekend to witness Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc clinch victory.
Constructed in 1922, Monza—often referred to as The Temple of Speed—has been a regular venue for the Grand Prix since the first World Championship in 1950. They join a prestigious list of motorsport legends like Alberto Ascari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart,Niki Lauda,Ayrton Senna, and Michael Schumacher who have all claimed victory at the Italian Grand Prix.
