Mercedes reveals a new £540,000 car inspired by Lewis Hamilton as an elegant farewell gesture.
Mercedes is releasing a new car to commemorate Lewis Hamilton’s career.
The all-new Mercedes G-Class HOF Sir Class
To mark the conclusion of Lewis Hamilton’s career with Mercedes, a special limited edition G-Class model named the HOF Sir Class is being released.
Only 11 cars are being manufactured, and the new machines will be unveiled at the upcoming Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The HOF Sir Class delivers an impressive 1,063 horsepower and is set to be offered at a starting price of £540,000 (€650,000). It can achieve speeds surpassing 300 km/h.
Regarding the new release, HOF owner Ferdinand Peter stated: “Our engineers had to consistently push boundaries to achieve our mission of exceeding 300kph.”
This involves more than just tuning the engine; we also had to significantly modify and enhance the car’s entire setup, including the suspension and brakes.

Conspiracy Theories About Lewis Hamilton Dismissed as Former F1 Star Finds New Position
Lead designer Etienne Salome commented, “The design honors Hamilton’s legendary career by integrating features that reflect the innovative spirit of F1: carbon-fiber components inspired by Formula One technology, ceramic-coated tailpipes, and a unique F1-style paint finish.”
It is yet to be determined if Hamilton will acquire the new G-Class line. The British driver boasts a personal supercar collection valued at approximately £13 million ($16.5 million). However, he has recently grown weary of new releases.
The collection features the Mercedes Project One, revealed in 2022, along with several Ferrari supercars and a classic 1966 Shelby Cobra 427. However, most recent releases are not making a significant impression on the seven-time world champion.

“The most recent car I bought was the Project One,” he mentioned earlier this season. “I’m constantly checking out cars at home to see what’s new, but honestly, today’s cars all seem so similar. There’s something lacking.”
“If I were to purchase another car, I’d focus on the classic models. It’s likely that it would be an old classic for its sound and emotional appeal. Few modern brands capture that same emotion today; it’s just not the same.”
