Hamilton McLaren BOMBSHELL emerges as star officially confirmed his department from Mercedes after 12 seasons with the team.

Hamilton McLaren BOMBSHELL: After 12 seasons with the team, it has been officially confirmed that the star is departing from Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton has announced his decision to leave Mercedes after 12 seasons, ending one of Formula 1’s most successful collaborations.

During his tenure with the team, he was instrumental in winning a total of 14 titles in Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships.

His time at Mercedes saw commanding performances that earned him numerous accolades and established him as one of the greatest drivers in the sport’s history. Nevertheless, the seasoned driver faced challenges during the 2024 season; at age 39, he struggled with car performance issues and often found himself out-qualified by teammate George Russell. Despite giving it his all, Hamilton could not compete at a level needed for achieving an elusive eighth world title.

Following a challenging season, Hamilton has chosen to embark on a new journey beyond Mercedes. There are reports suggesting that he might switch to Ferrari in 2025. The final race of the 2024 season in Abu Dhabi was his last with Mercedes, ending an emotional 12-year partnership with the team.

An interesting rumor has emerged about Hamilton’s future. Stephen Lord, the Race Team Coordinator at Mercedes and a close associate of Hamilton’s, revealed that there were expectations for the British driver to possibly return to McLaren after leaving Mercedes.

According to Lord, McLaren was considered a probable destination for Hamilton, marking what would be a full-circle moment as he started his F1 career with them. His early years at McLaren were notably successful; he came very close to winning the championship in 2007 before transferring to Mercedes in 2013.

The prospect of Hamilton rejoining McLaren would have been notable, considering his past with the team and their recent resurgence. McLaren’s performance has consistently improved, making them a competitive force once again. With an available seat, bringing back Hamilton could have offered them a world-class driver ready to contend for championships.

Nevertheless, as things currently stand, Hamilton is poised to embark on a new chapter with Ferrari—a team renowned for its storied history and determination to reclaim its position at the pinnacle of Formula 1.

As Hamilton enters this new chapter in his career, it signifies the conclusion of an era for Mercedes while also ushering in a fresh and exhilarating challenge for one of the sport’s most legendary figures.
