F1 News Today:-Tributes roll in for F1 legend after New Years announcement.

Tributes from the global Formula 1 community have flooded in for a legend of the sport following an unexpected New Year announcement.

The praise follows the announcement earlier this week that former racer and broadcaster Martin Brundle has been honored with an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for his contributions to motor racing and sports broadcasting.

For nearly thirty years, Brundle has been a cornerstone of Formula 1 coverage in the UK. His pre-race grid walks have become essential viewing for fans nationwide.

The Brit spent some time as a co-commentator with ITV before transitioning to the BBC in 2009.He became part of the Sky Sports team in 2012 and has been an integral contributor to their comprehensive sports coverage ever since.Before starting his career as a commentator, the 65-year-old was regularly seen on the F1 grid from 1984 to 1996 and achieved nine podium finishes during that period.
