Scottie Scheffler Posts Statement of Withdrawal from 2025 American Express Golf Tournament
Scottie Scheffler will withdraw from the upcoming 2025 American Express Golf Tournament due to a right hand injury. He made the announcement on Instagram on Monday (Jan. 6) Break the news.
Scheffler also sat out the first event on the PGA Tour calendar, the Sentry in Hawaii. The world number one will be aiming for a comeback at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament in late January. His official statement read: “After consulting with my medical team, I have made the decision to withdraw from next week’s American Express Tournament to give my injury more time to heal. I remain hopeful that I will begin my 2025 season at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.”
