Mercedes star Antonelli replaced as team release official statement

PREMA Racing has revealed one replacement for the departing Formula 1 pair, Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman.

Stars of the Mercedes and Ferrari junior programs, both competitors raced for PREMA in Formula 2 this season. Antonelli secured sixth place in the standings, while Bearman finished in 12th.

In 2024, Antonelli achieved two victories with the team, while Bearman recorded three sprint race wins throughout the season. Due to their impressive performances in F2 and during tests for their new teams, both drivers are set to advance to full-time positions in Formula 1 for the 2025 season.

With Bearman poised to join Haas, much of the attention will undoubtedly focus on Antonelli as the young Italian talent steps in to succeed Lewis Hamilton at Silver Arrows.
