After receiving the SI Sportsperson of the Year award, Simone Biles shared her accomplishments.
She said she had not yet fully appreciated what she had achieved so far. She stressed that she had not yet fully realized the extent of her success and that she hoped that this could happen after she retired and she would look back on her career. “I don’t think I realize what I’ve accomplished in sports,” Biles said. “I can see it, I can hear it from people and I can get glimpses of it, but I don’t think I understand the full extent of it yet. I don’t think I realize until I retire and look back in a few years like, damn, she was good. Because I can see it, but I do it every day. So for me it’s normal.” (from si.com)
