The Jupiter Links team, which also includes Max Homa and Kevin Kisner, was thrashed 12-1 by a Los Angeles team featuring Sahith Teegala, Collin Morikawa and Justin Rose.
And the omens weren’t good as early as the second hole. On the 582-yard par five, Woods hit an approach from 101 yards out. But 1,500 spectators watched as his ball flew across the court and into the water.

When most of the crowd sighed and disappointed, he was able to see how he laughed and pointed to his father.
Late at night, the senior Woods broke with a laughter after a teammate kiss made a terrible mistake from the sand. On the penultimate hole of his singles match against Collin Morikawa, Kisner found himself in a greenside bunker.
But he made a great shot and watched as the ball hit the flagstick and flew off, eliciting some funny reactions from his teammates.
Homa crouched in panic as the ball ricocheted off into the air, while Woods doubled over in fits of laughter.
