Rip💔‘With heartfelt sadness,’ Tiger Woods announces death of his mother, Kultida Woods
Kultida Woods, the mother of Tiger Woods, golf’s biggest star, died Tuesday, according to the 15-time major winner. He did not give a cause of her death. “My mother was a force of nature. Her spirit was undeniable. She moved the needle fast and laughed,” Tiger Woods wrote in X. “She was my biggest fan, the biggest supporter, without her personal achievements, it would not be possible. Many loved him, but above all his two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie.
Tiger Woods thanked his fans for their support and prayer and asked for loneliness “at this difficult moment for me and my family”.
The 82 -time winner of PGA Tour finished his message: “I love you, mother.”
Kulda Woods, from Thailand, often saw her son. It was underlined last month when Tiger Woods participated in a game of the Golf League of tomorrow (TGL). While attending the Sofi Center in Florida, the ESPN broadcast showed that Kultida Woods smiled and applauding after her famous son sank a clutch putt. She supported her son when the famous golfer went through one of the darkest periods of his life, admitting to multiple extramarital affairs in a globally watched press conference in 2010. Sitting in the front row alongside Tiger Woods at the public confession, Kultida Woods admitted that her behavior was “unacceptable” and that she had “stopped living by the core values” instilled in her by her parents. Tiger Woods credits his mother for helping him wear his now-iconic red-and-black combo on the final day of a golf tournament.
“My mom thought that because I’m a Capricorn, red was a power color or something, and I ended up wearing red and winning a couple of golf tournaments,” Woods told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” last year. “And just to piss her off, I wore the blue uniform and didn’t win that tournament. So mom is always right.”
